A propos of nothing, I couldn't help but notice that Pepsi's MLB Refresh ad is NY skewed. The count of places associated with the clips they show:
Boston: 1
Kansas City: 2
Los Angeles: 1
New York: 10
Philadelphia: 1
Seattle: 1
(And why Kansas City? There's a far more notable baseball team in the same state.)
Compare it to the Pepsi NFL Refresh ad:
Boston: 2
Cleveland: 1
Dallas: 4
Miami: 2
Oakland: 1
New York: 2
San Diego: 2
Perhaps football is in fact the American sport. And baseball is the national sport of New York.
It's even more curious when you consider the fact that both the Giants AND Jets are doing well, both with a rejuvenated fanbase. I'm curious to see if the numbers skew more to NY's favor (in the NFL) if the Jets continue to do well.
